Let's talk about the Opportunity! We have an incredible opportunity for an experienced and qualified Injury Management professional to join our Safety and Wellbeing team, an important part of People and Culture here at the Department of Customer Service (DCS).
Reporting to the Senior Advisor, Recover at Work, you will be responsible for providing best practice and comprehensive case management to achieve optimal recovery at work outcomes, in accordance with NSW workers compensation legislation and DCS's Recover at Work program.
You will focus on early intervention, stakeholder engagement, occupational rehabilitation, and recovery at work plans for all types of cases. You will establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to support the implementation of strategies and achieve optimal outcomes to minimize costs and premiums, with a consistent customer-centric focus and dedication to wellbeing for our employees.

Deliver supportive and compassionate injury management services, underpinned by early and durable recovery at work outcomes.Comprehensive understanding of NSW workers compensation legislation and SIRA guidelines.Experience in managing a mixed case load of worker compensation claims (both physical and psychological) and non-work-related matters.Demonstrated experience partnering with internal and external stakeholders to provide advice and guidance to ensure a supportive experience for our people.Ability to work autonomously and in a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced diverse environment.Effective communication skills with attention to detail to keep accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with legislation and compliance guidelines.Skilled in quickly building rapport, influencing, and engaging with stakeholders along with a deep sense of ownership.What might your day involve? No two days will ever look the same, but to give an idea:
Deliver recovery at work services in accordance with NSW legislation, policies, and guidelines of SIRA (State Insurance Regulation Authority) and iCare including DCS' Recover at Work program.Maintain a high standard of customer service with internal and external key stakeholders.Work cooperatively within a team, exchange information, and assist other team members to achieve team objectives and work outcomes.Provide peer support and advice to the members of Work Health & Safety team, People and Culture team, and to the broader stakeholders.Be a willing, flexible, and agile member of the Safety and Wellbeing team and provide reliable, timely and quality services to internal and external stakeholders.Effectively influence key stakeholders e.g., insurer, employer, employee, health professionals; business partners in achieving optimal recovery at work outcomes.The DCS Difference DCS is a great place to work, and it's not just us saying that! Competitive salary range $106,025 - $117,363 p.a + super, commensurate with experience plus access to salary packaging.
