Details: The Territory Records Office is seeking a dynamic and skilled professional to fill an Advisor, Information Governance position. Information Governance Advisors fulfil a key role in monitoring recordkeeping activities and assisting in identifying responses that will improve performance for both the Territory Records Office and the agencies.
Under general direction, Information Governance Advisors will:
Act as a primary point of contact for agency queries on records management issues.Monitor and report on trends in agency recordkeeping activity and performance through various means, including standing reporting arrangements and other assessments.Support the development of agency records management programs and records disposal schedules and other tools.Assist in the day-to-day administration of the Territory Records Office.This position does not involve direct supervision of staff.We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people with diverse thoughts, lived experiences, and perspectives can thrive and contribute their unique talents to the ACTPS and ACT community. Eligibility/ Other Requirements: A tertiary degree or previous experience in a related field is desirable. Experience with and understanding of electronic document management systems would be an advantage.
Note: This is a temporary position available for up to three months, with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. This position is located within the Territory Records Office. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
This position currently operates in a hybrid capacity which includes working from home and in-office under an activity-based working environment with unallocated desks when in the office. Opportunities for flexible working options could also include flexible start and finish times.
