THE ROLE Working within the high-performing and collaborative Office of the Secretary team, the Advisor provides high-quality advice and support to the Secretary on a range of issues.
The Advisor brings critical thinking skills, analysis, and the ability to test assumptions to their work and is able to operate with discretion, diplomacy, and clarity.
The Advisor plays a key role in supporting the quality of briefings and timely delivery of materials to the Secretary, portfolio ministers, and external stakeholders, and works closely with the Deputy Secretary Offices to uplift briefing quality and processes.
The Advisor also supports the Secretary by coordinating briefings for Secretary meetings with ministers.
The position regularly liaises with a wide range of internal stakeholders and operates with a high level of professionalism, initiative, and collaboration.
This role operates in a complex and demanding environment, requiring the capacity to effectively work as part of a team with attention to detail, liaise effectively with senior executives, and build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
