Position Summary $115,824-$130,355 (based on experience) plus 11% Superannuation Permanent Opportunity working in the Office of the Chief Executive Officer

Each day, we work with passion and purpose so that together we achieve incredible things.Together we Make the Difference  How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne…The Adviser position collaborates with all members in the Office of the Chief Executive Officer (OCEO) and works closely with team members across the organisation. You will provide support and high quality strategic advice to enhance the effectiveness and delivery of CEO's priorities and the objectives of the City of Melbourne. These priorities are a mix of internal strategic organisational development priorities, parallel to supporting the organisation to deliver on the objectives in the Council Plan and other strategic frameworks.The role of the Advisor is also responsible for analysing, identifying potential opportunities and risks, and providing support to develop strategies to deliver on strategic priorities. Additionally, the Advisor will also actively collaborate with other senior leaders to ensure effective decision-making and execution of key initiatives.What you will bring… Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values – accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others, and striving for excellence. Proven experience in effectively managing complex issues within a highly reactive and complex environment.Proven ability to analyse complex, politically sensitive information and formulate measured responses.Influencing and negotiation skills with demonstrated experience in achieving effective business outcomes.High level communication skills (verbal/written) with the ability to use discretion and judgement in a complex environment.High level analytical and lateral thinking skills with the ability to operate autonomously and take initiative.High level experience in developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders at all levels and a sound understanding of stakeholder needs.
