As an impactful HR Generalist, you will be part of a team that provides recruitment, mobilisation, and general HR support to all our operations.
This high-variety position takes ownership of a broad spectrum of employee lifecycle HR matters and steps into the recruitment and mobilisation function when needed.
What you will be doing - You will be a point of contact handling day-to-day tasks that are crucial to the HR function, including: Providing support with employee and industrial relations matters.Providing guidance and coaching for our internal policies and procedures.Managing HR administration and reporting requirements.Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across HR, recruitment, and mobilisation processes.Assisting in the delivery and implementation of transformative HR projects and change initiatives.What we are looking for - To hit the ground running, you need to have the following experience: Minimum of two years working in an HR generalist role for industries such as construction, mining services, crushing, bulk haulage, or heavy industry.High volume recruitment and site mobilisation.Skilled migration process.Enterprise bargaining is advantageous.Your skills and knowledge - To thrive in this role, you will also have: Qualifications or training in a HR related discipline.Strong knowledge of Australian employment law.Exposure to the mining industry is a big plus.Proficiency with technology, such as MS Suite, and HR, applicant tracking, and payroll systems.Sound commercial acumen is another big plus.Ideally, you are: Solutions-centric with the ability to meet tight and at times conflicting deadlines.Client-centric, aiming to deliver to your stakeholders.Proactive, helpful, and an effective problem solver.A lateral and strategic thinker with a strong understanding of practical application.Collaborative in your approach, with proven success in developing strong working relationships at all levels, from site to senior leadership, and everyone in between, internal and external.Effective in your communication and interpersonal skills.Pragmatic, highly engaging, and a consultative advisor.Not afraid to roll your sleeves up and always looking for ways to improve.Willing to travel to various sites as required.Most importantly, you can have a good laugh too!WHY MLG?
