Ausdrill is seeking a suitably experienced HSE Advisor to join our team in Queensland.
Based in Queensland, the role is responsible for the site HSE activities.
Why Ausdrill?Competitive remuneration packageEmployee benefits and perks such as Novated Leases, Salary Sacrificing, Discounts on health Insurance, Retail, Hotel accommodation and much more.Opportunities for career developmentTrue work-life balance with flexible working arrangementsExcellent company cultureKey Accountabilities:Provide credible advisory services with regards to employment law, employee relations, organisational change programs inclusive of communication plans where change impacts personnel.Coach, support and enhance capability of managers in all aspects of best practice people management including development, motivation, communication, performance management, policies, processes & employment law.Identify and communicate legislation changes with appropriate stakeholders – where changes required an action plan and put forward recommendations to HRM.Negotiate Individual Flexibility Agreements (IFA's).Facilitate Human Resource workplace investigations.Take reasonable care of your own safety and the health and safety of other people who may be affected by your conduct in the workplace.Participate in meetings, training and other health, safety and environmental activities and initiatives as requested by Ausdrill Management.Provide HSE advice to staff and contractors, including relevant and up-to-date information related to Ausdrill's Health and Safety and Environmental Management Systems and documentation.Ensure continued legislative compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental requirements.Facilitate incident investigations and maintain records.Maintain suitable work practices that minimise or eliminate risks.Be proactive in the promotion of a safe working environment to workers, ensuring workplace health and safety of all employees as per Ausdrill Policy.Liaise with clients on HSE matters under the direction of the project manager, including attending and participating in meetings and audits.Play a lead role in promoting a positive safety culture in the workplace.Ensure auditing of approved management system compliance on site.Develop, implement, monitor and review the site Safety Management Plans.Participate in HSE team meetings, training, planning and other health, safety and environmental activities and initiatives as requested by Management.Liaise with the relevant state statutory bodies as required i.e. Regulatory bodies.Assist the Injury Management department in processing workers compensation claims for the site and provide rehabilitation support to workers.Promote continued legislative compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental requirements.Involvement with wider company HSE team to provide continuous improvement and leading practice with the Ausdrill systems.Required Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:Two years' experience as practicing Safety Practitioner (mandatory);Three years' experience within Mining Industry (preferred);Knowledge and experience in the Coal Industry is preferred.Ability to conduct workplace inspections, surveys and audits (mandatory);Ability to interpret Legislation, Australian Standards, Codes of Practice and relevant industry practices (mandatory);Familiarity with the relevant state Mines Act & Regulations and OHS Act and regulations;Ability to conduct incident investigations utilizing ICAM (mandatory).Maintain a current valid Motor Vehicle Drivers Licence.Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or member of recognised HR Institute.Certificate IV OHS/WHS (mandatory);Certificate IV TAE (mandatory);Current Senior First Aid Certificate (mandatory);ICAM (mandatory);Drug and alcohol testing (mandatory);Chemalert (mandatory);Certificate IV in Environmental Management (preferred);Certificate in Internal and External Auditing Practices (preferred).Click on the Apply button to start your journey and join the Ausdrill team today.
