Reporting to the Lead Health & Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for promoting and ensuring the BCI and Mardie specific Health & Safety requirements to all site-based personnel including Contractors to the project are adhered to.
As construction progresses at Mardie, we are continuing to shape our team. We are looking for an individual who is ready to be a part of this exciting project, where you will have the opportunity to really make an immediate impact. 
The Company BCI Minerals Limited (ASX:BCI) is an Australian owned mineral resources company with salt and potash as its initial focus. A future Tier One project, Mardie has been designed to produce 5.35Mtpa of high-purity salt and 140ktpa of Sulphate of Potash (SOP).
Using an inexhaustible seawater resource and 99% of the energy required produced by natural solar and wind energy, our Mardie project is a multi-generational sustainable opportunity that will supply the growing chemical, renewable energy, and agricultural industries with Salt and Sulphate of Potash for generations to come.

The Role The Advisor Health & Safety will have at least 5 years of experience in the mining/construction industry with at least 2-3 years in a HSEQ Advisor role. The Advisor Health & Safety will initiate, promote and drive a positive HSEQ culture within the workplace, they will conduct site inductions and provide support to any new BCI employees and contractors up at Mardie and ensure all records are maintained. You will ensure all incident events are reported, recorded, escalated and then investigated as per the BCI standards and procedures.
The successful candidate will assist with the implementation of the HSEQ management plan and programs, be involved in field leadership, mentorship, and engagement with the workforce. The Advisor Health & Safety will be able to build strong working relationships with all personnel on site and participate in incident investigations. You will conduct auditing, field inspections and risk assessments in a timely manner.
About You: The successful candidate will have:
Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety or relevant university graduate diploma in safety At least 5 years of experience in the mining/construction industry with 2-3 years in a HSEQ Advisor role. Previous experience as a health and safety representative. Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence and desire to build meaningful relationships at work Able to engage with contractor personnel and management. Sound understanding of WHS Acts and Regulations Strong understanding of the mandatory requirements of high-risk work. The desire and motivation to work in a remote environment on a FIFO (14/7) roster. You must have current unrestricted working rights for Australia  to be eligible for consideration.
