The role Under the guidance of the Health and Safety Business Partner, the Health and Safety Advisor will play a key role in supporting our Cement & Lime operations in South Australia.
This position involves delivering crucial information, training, and H&S advice to Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders, and Health and Safety Representatives. The aim is to ensure that our organisation meets its health and safety objectives and obligations effectively.
This role offers flexibility in hours, allowing candidates to choose between full-time or part-time arrangements and is based in Birkenhead, SA, with some flexibility to work from home when required.
Responsibilities Support the development and implementation of Adbri's Work Safe, Home Safe program and strategies to drive continuous improvement in H&S performance.Undertake regular planned site visits to responsible operational sites to an agreed schedule, communicate observations and areas of focus.Ensure advice and support is provided that allows compliance with HSE legislation, codes of practice and standards.Ensure that responsible HSE training records are maintained, and programs reviewed against strategic plan.What you will need to succeed Recognised occupational health and safety qualification (minimum Diploma level)Formal qualifications and experience in WHS AuditingTraining experience/qualifications (e.g. Cert IV Training and Assessment)Qualifications in incident investigation (e.g. ICAM)3 years or more in a similar positionExposure to heavy manufacturing or similar industriesOur business Adbri Cement was formally known as Adelaide Brighton Cement.
