The Passenger Transport Strategy and Technology Branch of Translink division, is responsible for designing, delivering and promoting great public transport customer experiences across Queensland. In addition to leading Translink's customer functions, our branch is charged with delivering customer focused technology projects including the successful program management, delivery and implementation of the multi-year Smart Ticketing and Queensland School Ticketing Projects and the delivery of technology projects governed by the Technology & Strategy Portfolio Delivery Office. In these roles, you'll be part of a passionate and collaborative team, working in a fast-paced environment of project delivery and routine operations to make a difference in the lives of public transport customers.The purpose of the Advisor (Equipment and Performance) is to actively promote Translink Operations initiatives and assist in the management of external suppliers. In this role you will provide project and planning support for Translink Ticketing Equipment and Performance.Some of your responsibilities will include:Stakeholder Engagement• Engage in coordinating responses and actions among stakeholders to ensure the efficient supply and management of equipment services.• Establish and maintain communication channels with both internal and external stakeholders for collaborative operations. Commissioning and Decommissioning• Manage project tasks such as upgrades to Queensland Rail stations, the implementation of Passenger Information Display systems, and oversee annual electrical inspections.• Facilitate support for procurement processes and ensure that the completion of works adheres to established quality standards. Spares and Inventory Management• Oversee the maintenance of an internal equipment inventory, assist with order fulfilment, and manage weekly distribution reports to ensure efficient operations.• Maintain optimal equipment conditions and stock levels to ensure they are effective and ready to use. Lifecyle Planning• Assist in the planning for equipment obsolescence and manage warranty agreements for services owned by Translink.• Stay informed on industry innovations relevant to equipment and ensure compliance with current legislation. Asset and Configuration Management• Monitor the performance of suppliers to ensure they meet commercial and operational contractual obligations.• Play a role in incident management and recovery, leading governance meetings as appropriate.• Perform site visits in line with team protocols and analyse operational data to guide business decisions related to Ticketing Equipment and Performance.
