About the role We are seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to work collaboratively to deliver high-quality environmental solutions and results at our Lake Vermont project, located in Dysart.

Working a 9-day fortnight roster and reporting to the Technical Services Manager, your duties will include:
Ensuring compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and project approvalsManagement of top-soiling, site water, and rehabilitation works including quality assuranceEnsuring the successful implementation of the Environmental Management System including the development and implementation of project Environmental Management PlansDelivering environmental training and awareness programsEnsuring environmental initiatives and innovations are effectively communicated and promoted to strengthen the culture within the businessCollation of reports to meet legislative and client requirementsLiaison with the client and regulatorCoordinating environmental monitoring, inspection and auditing programs and maintaining associated documentation and recordsProviding interpretation of environmental data and regular progress reports against environmental performance targetsStrategically influencing the design, construction, and consultant teams in areas of environmental management and sustainability to deliver outstanding outcomesWhat Thiess can do for you A 9-day fortnight roster on offer to provide a balanced lifestyleAccess to fully funded flights from Brisbane to MoranbahThiess' commitment to ongoing training & development as part of delivering a modern autonomous mineHealth & well-being rewards program through AIA VitalitySalary sacrifice options – flights and novated leasingIndividual flexibility arrangements on offer - (Live Local, FIFO or DIDO)Range of corporate discounts including health insurance (Medibank), travel & retail products.About us Thiess works with clients in Australia, Asia, and the Americas in the dynamic field of open-cut and underground mining.
