The roster for the position is 5/2/4/3 residential.

About the roleReporting to the Superintendent Sustainability, the purpose of this position is to participate in the planning, coordination, interpretation, and reporting of environmental monitoring activities in accordance with the site's legal obligations.
Key Responsibilities will include:Providing input in developing the budget and schedule for the site's monitoring activities.Coordinating activities of the monitoring team (contractors).Participating in the QA/QC program for the environmental monitoring program, ensuring program and data integrity, and addressing identified anomalies.Undertaking field and environmental monitoring activities according to site obligations.Interpreting monitoring data and providing analytical memorandums with suggested follow-up measures.Preparing and submitting monitoring reports as per legal obligations and internal processes.Participating in the development and implementation of rehabilitation, biodiversity offsets, mine closure, and land strategies.Coordinating contractors and consultants for annual, quarterly, and bi-annual reporting.Preparing and reviewing site management plans, procedures, and Safe Work Instructions.Championing Evolution Mining's Values and commitment to Safety, Environment, Inclusion and Diversity, and Emissions Reduction (Net Zero).About youThe ideal candidate should have a degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or Environmental Engineering and recognized competence in water management, waste management, incident investigation, and environmental monitoring programs.
You must have experience as an Environmental Advisor, preferably in the resources industry.
Some essential skills include knowledge of environmental monitoring, field assessments, data management, water chemistry, and a practical background in mining, construction, or engineering.
You will have experience with Environmental Management Systems (EMS), strong report writing, oral presentation skills, and proficiency in MS Office, GIS, and purchasing systems like Pronto.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, analytical, and interpersonal skills are required, along with the ability to work unsupervised, swim confidently, handle small boats, drive a 4x4, and tow trailers safely.
