About The Role We are seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to work collaboratively on environmental performance at our Narrabri Underground project.
You have the opportunity to join the team at an exciting time with recent Federal Government approval granted for the Narrabri Mine Stage 3 Extension Project, extending the life of mine to 2044.
The transition to the new approval conditions and required changes to environmental management systems will provide you with challenges and career-building learning opportunities.
You will work closely with a small team of experienced environmental professionals who are passionate about delivering environmental compliance through the continual improvement of management systems.
What You'll Do Assist with the development and maintenance of environmental management plans and systems, with a focus on monitoring compliance with approval conditionsCoordinating environmental monitoring, inspection, and auditing programs and maintaining associated documentation and recordsProviding interpretation of environmental data and regular progress reports against environmental performance targetsWhat You'll Bring Hold Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or equivalentPrior experience in the mining industry will be highly regardedPossess a high level of initiative, self-management, and organizational skillsHave experience with Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to relocate to the Narrabri area to work a 9-day fortnight (full assistance provided)Why Whitehaven Coal?
