About the Role The Adviser: People and Culture Services works closely with various teams across the People and Culture Directorate to provide professional advice, recommendations and assistance to Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) on a wide range of People and Culture matters.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Proactively resolving stakeholder enquiries, complaints and service requests in a prompt, professional and caring manner, ensuring first-call resolution where possible.Reviewing escalated requests and providing industrially sound and operationally practical recommendations, partnering with various SME teams as required.Providing guidance and acting as a point of escalation for complex matters within the People and Culture Services team.Utilising knowledge of the relevant enterprise agreements and modern awards, policies, procedures and guidelines to provide effective solutions to a range of enquiries.Triaging, escalating and referring relevant requests and matters to other teams within the Directorate and across the broader SCS Central Office, collaborating as required.Providing guidance and support to employees and school support administrators on navigating various People and Culture related systems.Preparing, peer reviewing and processing various people-related transactions.Processing various payroll transactions such as changes in superannuation, tax and other deductions and allowances, and manual timesheets.Why Work for Sydney Catholic Schools In joining Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS), you will be part of the largest Catholic education community in NSW, with a unified vision and shared resources, encompassing over 145 schools and over 74,000 students. Tertiary qualification/s in Industrial Relations, Human Resources Management, Business or Commerce.Minimum two years experience partnering with leaders across a range of HR functions.Demonstrated experience in a human resources consultative or adviser role in a large, complex and diverse organisation.Demonstrated experience working in a high volume transactional environment with the requirement to manage competing priorities.Demonstrated experience conducting analysis to identify and resolve problems.Demonstrated understanding of the Australian employment relations regulatory environment.Application Process Please click on the 'Apply' button and follow the steps to submit your application.
