Location: Sydney - NSW, Canberra - ACT, Melbourne – VIC preferred, other locations may be considered THE ROLE: Austrade's Investment Division is seeking several high-quality candidates to deliver investment services as Advisers across the Division.
The Investment Division consists of: three region-focused desks: 1) Europe, Middle East and Africa; 2) Asia; and 3) Americas; a Strategy, Insights and Performance branch; a Critical Minerals team.
Investment Division works with our global network of Investment Advisers and partners with Australian state and territory governments to promote, attract and facilitate foreign direct investment into Australia.
These positions work in teams delivering services to companies to facilitate practical investment outcomes.
For example, Investment Division: Provides strategic direction to Austrade's global investment attraction work program, business practices and global engagement with key investors; Undertakes commercial analysis to help the Australian Government deliver on evolving investment priorities.
This could entail work across government to develop a pipeline of investment relating to a government priority, new or emerging sector or opportunity, or to build a business proposition to help Australia develop new areas of international competitiveness; Focuses on working across Government priorities for investment aligned to net zero transformation and economic security.
Investment Division works closely with other departments and government programs, for example: FIRB; Net Zero Economy Agency; Export Finance Australia; National Reconstruction Fund; Critical Minerals Office.
