Adviser Salary: $95,102 - $107,905 (Plus Superannuation)Fixed term role: 12 monthsUsual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne CBD (flexibility may be available)The Role The Adviser, Office of the Chief Executive, will provide expert policy advice, contribute to the development of strategic projects, positive culture and engagement across the Group and assist in coordinating the delivery of ministerial support, governance and performance reporting.
The Adviser will be required to work effectively with all units in the Group, providing ad-hoc policy and project assistance, ensure seamless and appropriate information flow and deliver high-quality outcomes. Supported by the Principal Adviser, the role will work split time between surge support for priority projects and supporting the Office of the Chief Executive.
Main Responsibilities: Provide expert advice on current and potential issues and strategic and operational matters for the Group and actively drive a continuous improvement approach to policy development, processes and systems.Support the delivery of strategic organisational projects, developing project plans, and managing risks and issues so that Group objectives are delivered on time and to a high standard.Support coordination of Group-wide processes including PAEC, Parliamentary Questions, Freedom of Information requests and Ministerial briefings to ensure the provision of timely and accurate advice.Manage Departmental requests for information on the Branch's performance, the development of the Branch's business plan and contribution to the Department's Annual Report and other reporting requirements.The Team The position of Adviser forms a part of the Strategy and Delivery branch within Creative Victoria.
The Office of the Chief Executive Officer supports the Chief Executive in leading the Creative Victoria group to efficiently and effectively deliver on the priorities of the Department, Minister and the Victorian Government, including under the Creative Victoria Act 2017 and Creative State 2025. This includes responsibility for public administration, ministerial coordination, and the provision of high-quality strategic policy advice on promoting and improving access to and participation in the arts and creative industries.
About You Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills, and the ability to understand and contribute to complex projects within tight timeframes will be critical to deliver in the role. The successful applicant will be creative, collaborative and solutions focused, work in a fast-paced environment, enjoy flexible working arrangements and undertake a wide variety of work across the Group.
