Our Client Synaco Global Recruitment have joint venture with Groote Eylant Mining Company to staff various project requirements throughout 2024. GEMCO located in the Gulf of Carpentaria, is an open-cut, strip-mining operation that produces high grade manganese ore and is classed as one of the largest manganese producers globally.
The Opportunity
Vacancy for an Advanced Rigger with crane and franna experience for a late September start, 13:8 ongoing roster. Day hourly rate of $55-$57 flat on 12 hour shifts, 10% loading applies on any required ADHOC night shifts. Workers will be employed on an ongoing casual basis.
Our Ideal Candidate
Demonstrated experience in Rigging in a similar working environment with a safety-first mentality. The successful candidate must reside in Darwin or Cairns or be willing to fund their own travel to the fly out destination.
Key Competencies

Demonstrated Experience working in heavy industrial, construction or mining environments (structural steel experience highly regarded);
Crane and Franna experience;
High Risk Work Licence – RA or RI, CN and EWP (LF is an added advantage);
Manual Open Australian Drivers License and HR Driver's Licence;
Confined Space Entry;
Working Safely at Heights;
EWP +11 meters.
