About the role To oversee the provision of professional clinical physics support services in brachytherapy treatment planning and delivery, brachytherapy radiation dosimetry, and radiation safety and protection.
To oversee clinical physics support for pulsed dose rate brachytherapy and therapeutic iodine-131 treatments.
To provide supervision of TEAP candidates and radiation safety training of other staff.
To participate in medical physics research and manage medical physics service development projects.
To be a Radiation Safety Officer for Cancer Care Services, Radiation Oncology.
About you This successful applicant will carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with Metro North Health's values: Oversee the provision of professional clinical physics support services in brachytherapy treatment planning and delivery, brachytherapy radiation dosimetry, and radiation safety, being accountable for quality within the brachytherapy clinical service area.
Oversee clinical physics support for high dose rate and pulsed dose rate brachytherapy treatments.
Administer the acquisition, safe storage, and installation of equipment.
