Full time fixed term role for 18 months Hybrid work environment (work from home and in office) Collaborative team environment Who are we? UNSW College is a not-for-profit, wholly owned enterprise of UNSW Sydney. Role Overview: The Business Analyst (BA) plays a key role in supporting Project Managers and Business Owners to define and achieve business outcomes. BAs may work across multiple projects simultaneously or be dedicated to a single, long-term project, collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders to develop strong, effective working relationships.
Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to): Assessing business needs to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. Eliciting, analysing, and documenting functional and non-functional requirements, including creating user stories. Analysing and mapping data to ensure quality and consistency across systems. Developing and proposing solutions to meet business needs and objectives and defining test cases to validate these solutions. Facilitating workshops to document current processes and design future state processes. What we're looking for include (but not limited to): Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent workplace experience. Prior experience in UAC (Universities Admissions Centre) implementation. Knowledge of student financial aid systems, including FEE-HELP policies and regulations. Familiarity with student management systems (preferably Ready Student), data migration, and system testing. Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in business requirements analysis and business process analysis using appropriate frameworks. Demonstrated experience in applying lean / continuous improvement skills.
