Are you ready to make a difference in the healthcare sector and contribute to the efficient functioning of each division at SALHN? The Advanced Nursing Director – Operations will work with the Clinical Directors and Co-Directors in the planning, development, and implementation of organisational and divisional objectives, and support the operational performance of divisional services. Some of these objectives will be shared with other Divisions, so a collaborative approach will be required.
About the Role: Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be accountable for operationalising strategic intent for patient flow and demand management priorities by leadership of scheduled and unscheduled care, patient flow, and demand management. As the Advanced Nursing Director, duties for the role may include:
Lead, develop and guide the use of information systems to inform decision making, manage practice, and evaluate strategic policies. Professional, operational, and corporate leadership of multi-disciplinary activities related to patient flow to achieve continuity and quality of service across the organisation. Collaborate with health industry, community groups, professional bodies, and private and public sector health providers at regional, state, and national levels. Ensure systems that support continuous quality improvement are in place and clinical governance is embedded within the division. Provide high-level advice to stakeholders and health services on the management of contemporary nursing and/or midwifery issues relating to research. About You: Registered with AHPRA as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. Effective leadership skills, including highly developed skills in communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation. Demonstrated ability to analyse and conceptualise problems, formulate and execute appropriate solutions, and negotiate successful outcomes in an innovative and resourceful manner. Significant experience (more than 5 years) in a senior management role within health, particularly working in a multi-disciplinary clinical environment. Want To Know More?
