Advanced Handyperson Horsham & DimboolaCasualAbout the roleWe are seeking an advanced Handyperson to join our professional Engineering team to provide general maintenance duties at both Horsham and Dimboola campuses of Grampians Health.This is a casual position is available for an immediate start and involves working a rotating roster including afternoon shift, weekends, public holidays and participation in an on-call roster.This position involves conducting routine testing and maintenance of facilities and plant, including mechanical services equipment, and completing relevant sections of the essential safety measures program.Skills and experienceEssential:Mechanical aptitude with relevant experience in a similar environmentAbility to prioritise and problem solve to work with varying and competing demandsGood interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary teamAbility to work in a flexible manner and perform on call and afternoon shift workCurrent Drivers licenceWell-developed literacy and computer skills.Willingness to have additional training and skill development (includes electrical safety testing and boiler maintenance)Desirable:Completed Apprenticeship in a Mechanical, Automotive or Building trade such as Fitting & Turning, Welding & Steel Construction, Automotive, Air-conditioning and/or experience in construction or general maintenance activitiesCurrent Worksafe Licence for High Risk Work.Willingness to obtain a Medium Rigid endorsement on Drivers Licence.Experience with plant maintenance activities in a large organisationGrampians Health Culture & BenefitsAt Grampians Health, we recognise our staff are our greatest asset.
