We are seeking an Advanced Field Service Engineer to join our HPS operations based out of Gladstone, Queensland .
Reporting into the Field Service Manager , the purpose of the role is to service and install across a variety of industrial solutions.
The work is diverse and challenging and it involves Honeywell SCADA, DCS's and safety systems along with advanced software applications e.g., plant historians.
There may be occasional travel required to remote locations, including offshore locations.
The successful applicant will require being on call on a rotating roster.
Although some routine service work is involved, a large portion of the workload will involve upgrading customer sites from previous Honeywell control systems to current technologies and the programming and commissioning of small systems on new installations.
On occasions, helping project engineers on large projects will be required.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for technical delivery of Control Systems preventative and remedial maintenance.
Implementation of Control Systems projects, typically using Honeywell TPS and/or Experion controller and supervisory systems, and/or third-party PLC controllers.
Maintain, install and service Industrial control equipment (including DCS/SCADA packages) on a variety of Oil & Gas and Mining sites.
Maintain familiarity with a wide variety of industrial plants and applications as applicable to control systems.
Comply with Honeywell engineering processes tools and methodologies.
Key Experience, Qualifications and Capabilities
Degree qualification in an engineering discipline, Industrial Controls, Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics, Electronic, Instrumentation and Chemical Engineering - preferred.
Valid unrestricted driver's license – mandatory.
2-5 years of experience in delivering SCADA, DCSs, and Safety Systems along with advanced software applications e.g., plant historians.
Experience with setting up and maintaining Networks - advantageous.
