Brisbane Boys' College is an established GPS day and boarding school. The school was founded in 1902 by Mr. Arthur Rudd, who had a vision of moulding boys to be worthy leaders and good citizens – a vision that remains today. The College occupies a 13-hectare site four kilometres from the centre of Brisbane and educates boys from Prep to Year 12.
The role In line with the BBC Master Plan Vision, the Advancement Director will work with the Director of School Development and Community Engagement to develop fundraising strategies to align with the College's needs. The Advancement Director will build connections and create opportunities which benefit the wider community and contribute to the future generations of Collegians.
Primary Objective The Advancement Director will be responsible for providing a strategic plan to drive Philanthropy at BBC which aligns with the BBC Strategic Intent. Reporting to the Headmaster and working closely with the Director of School Development and Community Engagement and the BBC Foundation (BBCF), you will play a pivotal role in advancing the College's mission by growing philanthropic support. This role will work to identify donors and partners that will help BBC create the systemic changes that build more opportunities for the students - the BBC Gentlemen of Honour.
This role is also responsible for the administration, management, and stewardship of donors for BBC Annual Giving, major gifts, capital campaigns, philanthropic programs, and bequests.
There is an emphasis on developing and maintaining relationships with key donors as well as working with internal Events, Alumni, Community, and Marketing teams to deliver effective philanthropic campaigns and events.

Key Responsibilities To write a deliverable fundraising strategy and tactical actions therein. This plan is to include, but not limited to:Major Gifts and Philanthropic ProgramsDevelop and implement a strategic vision for the BBC philanthropic programs.Put in place and manage BBC philanthropic programs.The emphasis securing new donors and managing renewals.Identify and develop appropriate relationships with existing and prospective donors so that the College interacts with them in a united and integrated way.In conjunction with the BBC Events Coordinator, manage events related to philanthropic programs.Cultivation and stewardship of donors.Managing the BBC Legacy Program and creating increased awareness of bequest and legacy opportunities.Annual GivingManage all aspects of the annual donation campaign, including the development and timely production of communication, in conjunction with the BBC Marketing team.Processing and receipting donations and acknowledgements in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.Identify and meet donor needs by building effective relationships and timely communications.Manage relationships and development of current levels of support for Annual Giving and the BBCF.GeneralDevelop and manage efficient and effective delivery of philanthropic and fundraising strategies.Build a sustainable bequests and bursary program.Work closely with other department team members to ensure strategies are aligned and development activities and events are coordinated.As needed, you will be required to attend events outside of office hours.Maintain the CRM (TASS) with up-to-date and accurate records. Research and obtain information to build on the existing database through the creation of accurate and up-to-date donor profiles.Organise and manage appropriate donor recognition and gratitude program.Provide analysis and reporting on donors as required including for use in strategy development, marketing, printed acknowledgements, BBCF and government reports, internal use and other formats as required.Produce an annual impact report to share with individual benefactors and the broader community.Manage all administration tasks and processes in the area of advancement.To be successful, you will need to:
Develop and implement strategies to cultivate a culture of giving within the College community, encompassing short-term fundraising goals and long-term objectives for the Bursary Program, Capital Gifts Program, Community Passion Projects, bequests, and others.Lead substantial fundraising initiatives by cultivating relationships with prospective donors, soliciting contributions, and nurturing connections to secure substantial financial support.Research, develop and manage fundraising campaigns and appeals, leveraging both traditional and digital platforms to engage donors and meet fundraising targets, with a large focus on Capital gift drives/Building Fund appeal.Liaise with the broader team to coordinate fundraising events and activities that enhance donor engagement, demonstrating the College's gratitude within the community.Assist with the BBC Partnership and Sponsors Program and manage the ASF site accordingly.Skills and Capabilities The position requires:
