Full Time, 12 month contract About the Role Barnardos are looking for a full-time, 12 month Case Manager in the Adoptions Program based in Shellharbour, 2529 The Case Manager will be responsible for; Meeting the needs of children requiring secure and permanent family placements.
Carrying a caseload of adoption cases.
Implementation of Barnardos' policies and procedures by having appropriate theoretical and practical skills in the areas of case management, adoption and/or permanent family care.
Preparation of written reports on carers and children in need of placement for presentation at Adoption Approval Panel meetings and Matching meetings.
Preparation of other reports as appropriate, including s91 report for filing in Supreme Court of NSW.
Preparation of necessary documentation for adoption applications to the Supreme Court.
Liaison with solicitors and barristers and appearing at Court to give evidence if required.
Undertaking the responsibilities of support to the carers who have children in placement conducting formal supervision and providing support to these placements.
About You As a Case Manager, you will ideally have; Tertiary/Degree qualifications in Social Welfare or a related discipline.
Proven experience in working in a welfare setting, ideally with children and families, including provision of case management services preferably in an Out of Home Care setting.
Excellent written skills, including producing accurate and timely reports and maintaining case notes.
Demonstrated understanding of issues of confidentiality.
Demonstrated experience of working effectively as part of a team.
Demonstrated experience of engaging respectfully with children and families.

Salary: Base $85,131 - $94,324 per annum plus leave loading plus superannuation.
Packaging available to receive $15,860 of your salary tax free.

To be considered for roles with Barnardos you will need to have (or be willing to have conducted) a National Police Clearance and current Working with Children check Clearance (or APP number) and for the ACT a Drivers History Check, Working with Vulnerable People Card and CYPS Check.
