We run services across NSW, ACT, and QLD with over 150 staff and nearly 300 volunteers committed to helping disadvantaged young Australians.The Program:This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the founding team at our brand-new location. The Continuing Adolescent Life Management (CALM) program is designed as an after-care service for clients who have participated in the PALM Residential Drug and Alcohol program. The service will include community outreach and offer a range of community-based therapeutic services including individual and family counselling, life skills development, case management, and educational and vocational programs.The Role:The role will initially be based in the community until the main residential facility is operational. The main functions include delivering individual and family counselling, developing Life Management Action Plans, facilitating early intervention & prevention groups, supporting the development of life skills, and managing healthy mentoring relationships.Responsibilities include:Provide individual and family counselling, referring to other parties as required.Deliver case management services for young people in PALM and those transitioning from PALM.Conduct thorough assessments and develop Life Management Action Plans.Provide ongoing support to clients to meet their goals.Maintain contact with young people in the program.Work closely with the residential team for day-to-day implementation of care plans.Ensure young people have access to necessary services.Arrange community networking for positive interactions.Liaise with referrers, service providers, and family to ensure the best service.Maintain accurate records and reports.Minimum Qualifications:Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g., psychology, counselling, social work).Experience working with young people aged 12-25.Experience in conducting clinical assessments and developing treatment plans.Knowledge of and commitment to a Therapeutic Community model.Ability to work effectively both as a team member and independently.Excellent communication skills.Strong personal and interpersonal boundaries.Commitment to harm minimisation principles.Current Working with Children Check and Driver's Licence.Experience in the drug and alcohol sector.Registration or eligibility for membership with AHPRA or other professional association.Minimum 2 years direct counselling experience.Understanding of harm minimisation principles.Knowledge of drug and alcohol use and its impact on clients.Ted Noffs Foundation is committed to equal employment opportunity and embraces diversity and inclusion within its workforce.
