Hospital Administration - Admissions Officer Chris O'Brien Lifehouse is an internationally recognised independent, not-for-profit cancer hospital leading the way in delivering patient-centred cancer care.

Responsibilities of the role include: • Admitting patients for surgery  • Surgery unit reception  • Surgical bookings • Ad Hoc Admin tasks to assist the Peri-operative Admin Department  • Cash handling and receipting of patient payments • Selection Criteria Essential – please state how you meet the criteria  1.
Minimum of one year experience in a medical administrative role.
(Medical practice or hospital setting) or transferrable skills you feel meet criteria  2.
Must be able to work the shifts listed for the position you are applying for 3.
Excellent time management skills, attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
4.
Superior customer service and exceptional communication skills, including the ability to work as an effective team member and manage fluctuating workflows.
5.
Proficient computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and data entry.
6.
Excellent organisational skills, initiative and ability to make decisions.
7.
Positive, enthusiastic and a genuine love of working in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining a high level of quality, compassion and professionalism.
8.
Immunisations that comply with the requirements of a NSW Health Category A worker.
Desirable Qualifications / Skills / Knowledge 1.
Experience using Meditech or other medical patient administrative software systems.
