The position will report to the National Manager Admissions.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide effective and efficient administrative support within Admissions and carry out duties across all of the key areas of the Admissions Office operations.Contribute to the implementation of procedures and timelines to ensure the efficient and effective processing of applications for admission including receipt, recording and assessment of all applications and the generation of offers.Ensure accurate and timely entry of applicant data, timely responses to applicant enquiries, taking responsibility as required in following up with applicants to ensure records are complete and up to date, and exercising quality control over all communication to and with applicants.Support and maintain internal database and registers, including identifying and tracking issues.Apply relevant policies, practices and standards to organise and prioritise work, while using judgment to solve problems arising in the work area.Assist with the creation and maintenance of policies, procedures, guidelines and forms associated with application for admission to the University.Liaise with stakeholders across the University departments to ensure effective collaboration, including assistance with the transition to enrolment of students in conjunction with other relevant offices.Comply with all other reasonable training and duties as identified by the line manager (or delegate).Comply with University policies and procedures in all aspects of their work and conduct.Qualifications, skills & experienceCompletion of a diploma level qualification with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.Demonstrated administrative experience, preferably in a tertiary or other education sector.Highly developed communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds and cultures both internal and external to the University.Proficient in acting with discretion and sensitivity and maintain confidentiality.Sound computing skills, including email, word processing, spreadsheets, internet applications and prior experience as a user of business systems such as student administration.Ability to exercise initiative and judgment as appropriate, and work in a flexible and dynamic environment with competing priorities to meet deadlines.Proven record of preparing high quality documentation with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to collaborate across multifunctional teams, providing a high level and responsive service.BenefitsGenerous training and development opportunities.Friendly and collaborative working environment.Discounted study at the University.How to applyPlease apply online with a resume and cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.Previous applicants need not apply.Applications closing date: 28 November 2024To expedite the process, we will begin shortlisting and conducting interviews prior to the close of the advertisement.
