About the role: The Admissions Manager provides management and leadership of staff and is responsible for assessment processes associated with applications from prospective international students. This involves compliance with the legislative framework and efficiently managing the admission processes.
Key Result Areas: Achieve the College admission and enrolment targets by managing and directing the process of admission of international students, ensuring the delivery of efficient service in relation to assessment, offer letter turnaround, issuance of Confirmation of Enrolments (CoEs) and other follow-up work with the Recruitment, Admissions and campus teams.Analyse recruitment related data to measure achievements against the College strategic initiatives and to inform strategic decision-making.Conduct market and competitor research to inform and implement program innovation to ensure the College's competitiveness.Ensure the efficient and effective operation of the admissions team by monitoring staff performance against agreed standards, ensuring staff training is available to meet ongoing needs and continuously reviewing internal office systems and processes to ensure high standards of performance are maintained.Prepare reports, proposals and strategic policy advice on recruitment, admissions policy, admission trends and future directions.Regularly review and report on Admissions activity within PRISMS to authenticate data integrity.Plan, develop and review critical admission functions in consultation with the Marketing, Compliance and Recruitment teams, wider Management teams and College staff to ensure the provision of excellent customer service to students, agents and other clients of the College.Assess applications and manage admissions workflow and collaborate with colleagues to achieve quick turnaround of applications, enquiries and electronic confirmation of enrolments.Manage all admissions processes for online applications and use of Studylink, and any other CRM, online or software solutions that are required for admissions.Provide a customer focused quality evaluation and advisory service to prospective and current students, agents and the public, generally on all aspects of the College admissions requirements, policies, procedures and entry pathways.Liaise with the partner University and external evaluation agencies/tertiary institutions in Australia and internationally to facilitate the development of admissions procedures and recognition of non-standard qualifications.Maintain credible and strong relationships with counterparts at partner University, Navitas Group, key education agents, and external stakeholders such as the immigration department.Monitor advice from the Department of Immigration and other regulatory entities regarding changes and amendments to student visa requirements and keep relevant employees informed of these changes.Qualifications and Selection Criteria: Undergraduate degree qualifications and 5 years managerial experience; or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.Proven ability to effectively manage staff from a range of backgrounds who are required to deliver high quality, professional, and timely services.Proven ability to build and maintain strong, credible relationships with key stakeholders.Highly developed managerial skills demonstrated in a process-driven environment of large volume workflows and critical deadlines.Demonstrated capacity to lead and motivate staff to achieve the strategic directions of the College.Demonstrated critical and creative thinking and proven ability to evaluate service delivery.Outstanding interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity towards students and staff from a diverse range of backgrounds.Extensive work experience in the international education industry or related area.Extensive knowledge of the Australian Higher Education regulatory environment.Experience in the implementation of successful student recruitment strategies.About us: Navitas is a leading global education provider that has helped generations of learners transform their lives through education.
