About Women's Emergency Care WEC provides direct clinical care for over 28,000 women per year with emergency maternity and gynaecology problems, including emergency care for newborns who were born at the Women's and are less than two weeks of age. We support women to manage any psychological, psychosocial, social, and socioeconomic concerns that may impact on their health care.
About the role As the Admissions and Triage Clerk you will provide customer focused care and reception duties, alongside patient registration, admission, transfer and discharge of patients. You'll also uphold FOI legislation and patient privacy policy of the Women's regarding patient data and the EMR.
A regular day will see you managing:
Data entry into Electronic Medical Record (EMR)Patient identification and registrationAdmission of patients using IPMConnection of televisions through the hospital (out of hours)Liaising with Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedical staffAbout you You will be someone with excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
