In our friendly and inclusive Education team, you, as the Administrator for Auslan Short Courses, will be involved in supporting the Auslan Short Course program we offer at Deaf Connect on behalf of Department of Education Queensland and Northern Territory.
Your main responsibility will be to bring harmony and smooth operation to these programs through effective coordination and administration.

You'll also get the opportunity to provide additional administrative support as guided by the Manager – Beginner Courses, which will be a great help to the operations of the Beginner Education team and Auslan in the Home teams.
Main responsibilities of the role include: Coordinate and administer the Auslan Short Courses (ASC) Support with Auslan in Home Administration Maintain class and student information in the Student Management System, Axcelerate Work with the Team Leaders of other programs to recruit and engage new tutors for work in ASC and Auslan in Home.
Prepare and email certificates to participants of the ASC classes at all levels Arrange, book and, prepare materials for Voice Off Weekends (2 per year) Answer telephone and email enquiries, providing accurate and relevant information and / or make appropriate referrals.
About You In your application, let us know if you have these key skills and experience: Demonstrated ability to perform administrative tasks Skills with Microsoft Applications: Microsoft Office Suit (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet) Well-developed interpersonal skills Ability to adopt a flexible approach to work tasks and preparedness to implement changes as the need and opportunity arise Auslan Skills.
