Working to protect the state's environment and heritage Administrative Support Officer Salary ranges from $79,032 - $86,539 plus super Ongoing full-time role Located in Dubbo, Broken Hill (negotiable) About the role National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for an Administrative Support Officer to work as part of the team and contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and Aboriginal heritage. This pivotal role will see you providing high-level administrative and business support to the West Branch Director, Senior Business Officer, and 5 Managers to ensure the day-to-day functions of the business are carried out effectively. As for all Branch roles, there is a clear expectation that the candidate is able to demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their field, day to day professionalism and are a good fit for our Branch One Team culture. About you We'd love to hear from you if you're a natural trouble-shooter, thrive in a busy work environment and are comfortable providing business support to a wide stakeholder group across differing levels of seniority. Ideally, you'll be a true collaborator and have demonstrated experience across of wide range of business operations. This position provides meeting and event support including assisting and coordinating meetings, transport, accommodation, catering and minute taking. You will be dealing with complex issues sometime of a sensitive nature. You will need to have excellent time management skills. You will need to have effectively communicate (both written and verbal) to work with a wide group of internal and external stakeholders over a large geographical dispersed landscape. You will need to be flexible, adaptable and willingness to travel. The role is suited to a highly organised administrator keen to play an integral role in the smooth running of our Branch. Key knowledge and experience Managing competing demands and maintaining attention to detail to ensure administrative support is provided in a timely and efficient manner. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the agency structure, functions, systems and processes, to enable efficient functioning of the unit. Solving problems with a high level of discretion, diplomacy and judgement, given that issues are often sensitive. Experience in administration including experience in the use of computer based systems such as word processing, spreadsheet and records management systems. Knowledge of financial and human resource management procedures, policies and practices, and contract administration.
