Commercial and Records Officer (Administration)

The Light Rail Operations Branch is a small and dynamic team responsible for providing contractual and asset assurance of Canberra's light rail operations by our contracted partner Canberra Metro.
Reporting directly to the Senior Director Commercial and Contracts, this is an administrative support officer role that is responsible for the co-ordination of records and contract communications in relation to Light Rail operations and next generation ticketing (MyWay+).
Our ideal candidate will be interested in transport operations, enthusiastic, have a willingness to learn and have experience in:
administrative support, including secretariat capability and the management of records that are confidential/sensitive; an ability to develop relationships to assist with tracking, managing and reporting on team correspondences, reports and briefs; providing support to senior staff around financial reporting using Microsoft Excel, and processing invoices for payment; collating and producing information for ministerial requests, presentations and written reports. We work together closely to support the operations of light rail to deliver a service that is clean, safe and efficient for all Canberrans.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
Experience working in teams; Familiarity with tools and systems used in project/contract management; Familiarity with risk registers. Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of up to 12 months with the possibility of permanency. Please note, this position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, flexible start, and finish times. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
