The University Secretariat oversees UWA's corporate and academic governance structures, providing executive, advisory, and consultative services to the Senate, its standing committees, and senior leadership. The Secretariat ensures that governance decision-making aligns with University legislation, policies, and procedures, supporting the University's strategic objectives.
About the opportunity Provide high-level administrative support to UWA's Senate and its committees. Provide confidential, high-level administrative support to senior staff within the University Secretariat and key stakeholders. Assist in the development, updating, and implementation of operational policies, procedures, and processes to enhance efficiency. Contribute to the coordination of Senate and Academic Board elections, updates to governance systems, and the continuous improvement of Secretariat operations. About you Relevant tertiary qualifications, formal administrative qualifications or demonstrable equivalent experience in high-level administrative roles. Substantial relevant high-level administrative experience providing executive officer or committee support, ideally within a university or large organisation. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, initiative and the ability to set and manage competing priorities in a high-pressure environment. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with board management software (e.g., Diligent Boards) is desirable. How to apply
