The Role: The position is integral to supporting the administrative and financial business of the Department of Medicine.
You will be required to:
Apply your high degree of accuracy by reviewing, investigating, and coding claims and invoices for approval, while considering the Treasurer's Instructions and Departmental policies and procedures. Use your well-developed communication skills and knowledge computer applications to draft correspondence and prepare reports for senior members of the team. Be flexible and adaptable to assist with the day-to-day office operations. The Team: The Department of Medicine is the largest department at the Launceston General Hospital supporting service areas, patients and employees under Critical Services (CS), Acute Medical Inpatient Services (AIMS), Sub-Acute and Ambulatory Care Service (SAACS).
Our team consists of Executive Assistants to Director – Department of Medicine, three Nursing Directors, a Business Manager – Medicine (BM-M) and Administrative Assistant – Business Support (AA-BS).

Details of appointment: Permanent full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 25 November 2024.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $71,661 to $77,455 per annum . Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with  Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022 Allowances:  You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
