The Family Law Section (FLS) of the Law Council of Australia is the largest of the Law Council sections, and the largest professional association for family law practitioners, with membership from all Australian States and Territories and internationally.
About the Role The FLS Administrative Coordinator reports to and works in close cooperation with the Executive Officer of the Family Law Section. The Administrative Coordinator will also work closely with the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section, in particular the Chair and Deputy Chair.
The primary role of the Administrative Coordinator is to provide high-level administrative support to the FLS and Executive Officer in the delivery of all Section activities.
As a member of the FLS team, this role will also assist with support and coordination of FLS professional development events, member communications, publications and membership activities as required.
A full Position Description is available upon request. In summary, the Administrative Coordinator will provide executive and administrative support as follows:
Point of contact for FLS members, via phone and email response. Executive level support for the FLS Executive Officer and Executive Committee, including electronic file and document management, Executive meetings including travel and accommodation requirements and minutes.Reconciliation of monthly accounts and expenses for the Section including credit card reconciliations. Coordination and support of FLS working groups and committees. The successful applicant To be successful in this role you will possess the following attributes:
Demonstrated experience in providing high level administrative support in a similar role, ideally in a legal environment. Above average organisational skills with the ability to work independently and under pressure. Self-motivated with the ability to use initiative.Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Keen attention to detail with well-developed written skills.
