The Eye and Ear has almost 90 different outpatient clinics for the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of vision and hearing loss and provides a 24-hour emergency eye and ear, nose and throat service.
Every year the Eye and Ear cares for nearly 200,000 patients, with over 136,000 outpatients, over 42,000 emergency patients and over 14,000 inpatients.
The hospital recently completed a major redevelopment to create a modern internal structure and to improve access for patients, visitors, and staff.About Role:The Patient Support Unit is currently seeking a Full Time Administration Officer Fixed Term contract until 27/6/2025, working Monday to Friday.
The focus of this role is to provide clerical and receptionist support to the Patient Support Unit, support the administrative audit/data collection, and management of patients on the Planned Surgery Preparation list to ensure optimal experience and outcomes for planned surgery patients.We are seeking applicants who have strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, good organisational skills, and the ability to work autonomously whilst maintaining a team-focused approach.
Healthcare experience is desirable but not essential.Minimum Requirements:Clerical and receptionist support to the Patient Support UnitSupport administrative audit/data collectionManagement of patients on the Planned Surgery Preparation listApplication closes at: 20/11/2024 11:59pmNote: All appointments are subject to a satisfactory Police Record Check, a working with children check (if applicable), and evidence of vaccination status.
