It works alongside national and international organisations, contributing to global research, promoting life-long learning, and developing and hosting world-class exhibitions.About the roleThe role provides administrative and secretarial support to the Regional Manager and the Operations Manager and staff at the Gwoonwardu Mia Aboriginal Heritage and Cultural Centre, Carnarvon. This includes basic financial and Human Resource administrative processing, diary coordination, and records management.This position is also responsible for assisting with the coordination of bookings and promotion of the Centre's conference rooms and performance spaces for hire. The role assists the Operations Manager to ensure that the venues operate compliantly with regards to Health, Safety and statutory regulations, and that internal policies and procedures are always followed and adhered to.About youWe are looking for a dynamic person who demonstrates sensitivity to the needs of the Aboriginal community, and has strong communication skills to effectively interact with both visitors and staff from diverse backgrounds. Additionally, organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are important qualities for this role. Previous experience in administrative support roles, and a willingness to learn and adapt to the unique environment of Gwoonwardu Mia would also be beneficial.The successful applicant will be expected to:Work collaboratively and cooperatively as a member of the Gwoonwardu Mia team and the Western Australian Museum staff.Provide administrative support to the Regional Manager and staff at the Centre, including administration related to Finance and HR processes.Collate daily mail and prepare responses to correspondence as directed.Arrange and maintain schedules of appointments and meetings.Prepare meeting Agenda and associated papers, and take Minutes of meetings, as required.Arrange staff Travel proposals, itineraries, and accommodation, as required.Assist the Operations Manager with coordination of venue hire operations, including client walk-throughs, venue bookings, invoicing, and room set-up and clean-up.Assist in venues operating with due regard for public safety, complying with Health, Safety and statutory regulations including the Liquor Licensing Act.Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with site Caterers to promote the maximum usage of the venues.Assist in the development and implementation of procedures and policies relating to the function of the site.#J-18808-Ljbffr
