North Metropolitan Education Regional Office (NMERO) are seeking to establish a pool of Administrative Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2024 and up to the end of November, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
The Role and our Branch Administrative Assistants support all teams within the NMERO to ensure processes run effectively so that we can support the schools and families who need us. Immediately through this process, we are looking for someone to support our Engagement and Participation Teams. These outreach teams work with secondary school-aged students and their families who have disengaged from education. From this pool, you may also be placed in the general administration team across the regional office. Suitable applicants should be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience and skills using databases and document management systems would be advantageous in this role.
Suitable applicants should be highly organised and be able to provide efficient support to all teams within NMERO. Ideally, you will be required to work unsupervised or as part of a team, demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to use your initiative.
NMERO supports the Department's priorities in Western Australia and commits to delivering, through schools and services, a full and engaging standard of public education. NMERO comprises more than 250 public schools across the north metropolitan area from Cottesloe to Lancelin and east to Wooroloo.
There is currently a 36-month Administrative Assistant position available for full-time. However, a part-time job arrangement may be considered for this position.
