Casual Administrative Assistant role within the University of Sydney's Business School Supporting the Business School's External Engagement and Principles of Responsible Management TeamsHEO4 Step 1 $54.79 per hour + 11.5% superannuationAbout the opportunity The Administrative Assistant will assist with general administrative and clerical duties for the designated work area, ensuring tasks are completed in an efficient and effective manner.
They organise and maintain records, act as the initial point of contact within the work area and utilise judgement and procedural knowledge to organise the flow of information.
The Administrative Assistant works under routine supervision, performing tasks as directed and in accordance with defined responsibilities.Your key responsibilities will be to: deliver general administrative services and operational support to the work area including handling basic ordering and recordkeeping tasks to support the performance and progress of one or more projectsprepare detailed documentation, minutes and agendas as requiredprovide event support, including scheduling meetings, coordinating attendees, planning of events and meetings in various locations, sourcing appropriate venues and resourcesengage with stakeholders to address concerns and gather feedback, maintaining effective communication channels and collaborating with the team to enhance stakeholder relationsundertake other duties and projects appropriate within the classification level as required About youmust possess excellent computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office & Excel with the ability to create complex spreadsheets and professional documentsmust have experience in taking minutes during meetingsexcellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in handling a wide range of enquiries as the successful candidate is expected to send high level email communications to Academic stakeholdersability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily workexcellent organisational and administrative skills, particularly in relation to coordinating events Sponsorship / work rights for AustraliaPlease note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
