About Infectious Diseases & Immunology Department:

The Infectious Diseases & Immunology Department at Austin Health is a busy unit providing both in-and out-patient services. It is staffed by the Director supported by a team of Senior Medical Staff (SMS), junior medical, nursing staff and medical scientists.



About the role:

This position will engage with members of the Infectious Diseases & Immunology Department and in particular work closely on the HIV database. All Administrative Assistants within the Infectious Diseases & Immunology Department are expected to provide a high level of administrative support within their approved scope of practice. This is a part-time, ongoing role working 24 hours per week.



A regular day will see you:


HIV database input and management

Manage onboarding, training and upskilling of new administration officers.

Assist with data entry and administrative duties for the clinical and laboratory clinical and research programs.

Undertake billing and invoicing relating to the various inpatient and outpatient services.




About you

As the Administrative Assistant, You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You'll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.



To be successful in this role, you'll bring with you:


Experience in administrative tasks

Understanding TRAK and clerical booking system

Ability to work effectively in both a team environment and independently when required.

Excellent written and verbal skills.
