Wodonga Senior Secondary College is a government year 10 to 12 co-education school in the local government area of Wodonga. The college has the broadest range of subject choices in the region across all subject areas. The college works with all students to design an individual pathway which provides them with every opportunity for success following their secondary education.OBJECTIVES:The administrative trainee supports the diverse needs team with administrative acumen. Additionally, the administrative trainee will communicate effectively to all stakeholders, use discretion and judgement to plan and organise their work and the work of others, is able to problem solve and display good decision-making skills.POSITION DESCRIPTION/DUTIES:You will be the first face people see at our office reception area, you will handle in-person and phone enquires, gather and provide information and assist in the day to day running of the office. The administrative trainee includes the following tasks:Reception Counter – answering phone, responding to all queries.Passtab – including management of sign in process and quickpins.Photocopying, scanning, filing, emailing, laminating of documents.School Portal – including student timetables, GPA reports, absences, activities.Maintain keys and key register/FOB.Updating of staff training register.Ensure that all student enrolment packs & staff induction packs are compiled & up to date.Verification of enrolment and Centrelink letters.Sort outgoing and incoming mail and deliver mail and messages to staff pigeonholes promptly.Mail-outs – organising labels & distribution of various correspondence.Ordering student ID cards.Assist with hiring queries of College facilities.Office administration duties including cash handling and EFTPOS transactions.Setting up and taking of bookings for events.Liaise with staff, school councillors, students, parents, service providers and Government Departments.Perform other duties as directed by Business Manager and Office Manager.OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:Please note that as this position is a traineeship, the successful applicant will undertake nationally recognised training as part of their employment. The exact qualification undertaken is negotiable and Wodonga Senior Secondary College will work with the successful applicant in determining the best qualification upon appointment.
