About the role Administration Services has an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Administration Team Leader, Emergency Department with a passion for Leadership to work within Mater Public Hospital. This will be a permanent full time opportunity. 
Salary range: $39.84 - $43.90 (MCA Level 4) plus superannuation and access to salary packaging What you'll be doing You will make a positive impact with your team in delivering patient support services. Develop individuals to deliver high-quality outputs using contemporary management approachesContinual enhancement of service performance, processes, and practices to achieve high work standards by identifying and implementing improvement opportunitiesEffective workforce management of service provision to meet business requirements and manage resourcesDevise strategies and operational plans with your Manager and stakeholders to achieve work group outcomesEffectively communicate with patients, visitors, and all levels of staff to resolve issues, deal with complaints, and manage changes to improve the patient experienceBuild trusted relationships and effective working partnerships with internal stakeholdersAssist with coverage within the Team Leader group – including leave cover and day to day assistanceAbout you To be successful in this role you will have:
Previous experience with delivering operational administration, preferably in a complex health settingExperience managing staff, preferably within an Emergency Department environment where the staff work a 24 hour periodAbility to manage and supervise a team, inspiring a team to deliver exceptional services, and ensuring the team achieves all tasks within timeframes and requirements, especially with staff that you may see infrequently due to the nature of the 24-hour environmentProven experience with continuous improvement of processes and procedures and managing improvement opportunities with a range of stakeholdersExceptional written and oral communication skillsHigh level office management and information systems skills, specifically MS Office and network information systems, and an ability to rapidly acquire advanced proficiency in such systemsHigh level problem solving skillsMater is Queensland's largest and most innovative not-for-profit healthcare service, providing care for almost 700,000 patients a year across a network of 11 hospitals.
