About the Group Schools and Regional Services (SRS) offers central, regional, and local expertise to enhance learning and development outcomes, supported by a diverse and geographically dispersed workforce.
It comprises 17 areas within 4 regions, backed by 5 central office divisions, all collaborating to deliver improved outcomes for early childhood services, schools, communities, and learners, in line with Education State commitments.
SRS regions serve as a bridge between the central office, schools, and service providers, ensuring smooth transitions for learners and achieving the department's ambitious targets.
Each region includes divisions specialising in school performance, student wellbeing and early childhood support, working with area-based teams to tailor local interventions and practices.
The 17 areas provide crucial insights into local trends and issues, facilitating effective policy and program development and driving child and learner outcomes across all services and programs.
This role is located in the School Performance Division, North-Western Victoria Region, SRS.
About the Role The purpose of the Administration Support Officer role is to provide administrative services to divisional staff.
Administration Support Officer, under the direction of the Executive Director School Performance, will work closely with the division's School Improvement Project Support Officer, and with other staff performing administrative functions across the region, to ensure required supports are provided to divisional staff.
This role can be located in any of our five Regional Offices: Greensborough, Coburg, Bendigo, Swan Hill or Mildura.
The role is critical to the effective operation of the Division.
It will involve periods of sustained independent work as well as frequent and varied contact with Department employees and members of the community.
The role demands flexibility and the ability to work in a highly collaborative and supportive way with other staff across the region.
The Administration Officer will demonstrate discretion, integrity and initiative in the performance of their duties, which include: * Records management, including administration of divisional Sharepoint sites.
* Procurement, including hospitality, travel, office supplies and general invoice processing.
* General administration support such as meeting and event coordination.
* Program administration support.
* Supporting Area administrative staff where required.
