About This RoleUtilise your Administrative expertise to provide support and advice to Corrections VictoriaAn Ongoing, Full-Time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public ServiceVPS Grade 3: $76,817 - $93,274 plus superannuation.About The Business UnitThe Security and Intelligence Division is responsible for the acquittal of several key strategic functions within Corrections Victoria including Security Risk Management, Electronic Monitoring, Correctional Emergency Response, and Emergency Management including exercising plans and contingencies, and Intelligence.The Security Standards Unit (SSU) is responsible for several of these strategic functions focused on Security Risk Management, Physical Security, Annual Procedural Security Reviews, Schematic Plans, and State-Wide Locksmith Services and maintaining a range of policy documents. The SSU is responsible for monitoring the minimum-security requirements for all prisons and secure locations on an annual basis, as well as ensuring that the standards are reviewed regularly. The unit also provides assistance, advice and support to Corrections Victoria relating to Security, Security Risk Management, Fire Response and Emerging Technology.About The RoleThe Administration Support Officer reports to the Senior Project Officer, SSU and supports the unit in the delivery of ongoing and ad-hoc projects and complex programs of work. The role provides finance, procurement, and administrative functions related to a range of operational and strategic functions of the SSU. The role operates within a complex and dynamic environment that requires the capacity to be well organised and deliver work within strict timeframes, along with the ability to liaise with staff and key stakeholders within and external to Corrections Victoria.The role is primarily based at the State-wide Services Building, Western Plains Correctional Centre, although some state-wide travel and overnight stays may be required. The role may be required to work in Metropolitan Melbourne, whilst there may also be some opportunity to work from home in accordance with Victorian Public Service guidelines.Some Of Your Duties Will IncludeUndertaking the accounts functions, including payables, receivables, reconciliations, journals, and data entry for the SSU, including liaising with internal and external stakeholders regarding any finance and/or procurement concernsAssisting with the development of policies, procedures and databases relating to this area of management, and participating on working parties and reference groups as requiredPreparing and monitoring the procurement functions, maintaining accurate and up to date records ensuring adherence with relevant legislative and organisational requirements for both CV and Youth Justice Correctional Services operational functions.About YouAs our ideal candidate, you will possess:Advanced computer skills, particularly in relation to the Microsoft Office SuiteDemonstrated knowledge with Oracle or similar finance related systemKnowledge and experience of procurement and finance processesAn understanding of store and warehousing operations, including stock management, delivery / service requirements, and Occupational Health and Safety procedures.Qualifications/RequirementsPrevious experience in finance and stores purchasing is advantageous, specifically in the government sectorKnowledge of computer systems such as Oracle and Microsoft Office Suite including Excel will be highly regardedA current driver licence is requiredAbility to obtain a Working with Children Check.How To ApplyPlease click the Apply button on this advertisement.
