PBE Rutherford Mining is a leading provider of safety and productivity solutions to the global mining and tunnelling industries.
It is an established international business with regional sales/service companies in Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, and South Africa, and a global network of distributors.
We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Administration Officer to join our Team in Tomago NSW.
You will be working as part of our busy Procurement Team assisting in the smooth and accurate running of the purchasing process by maintaining accurate records, tracking inventory and communicating with our internal and external stakeholders.
We are looking for an Administrative Officer with experience in purchasing and procurement processes to join our established team of Purchasing Officers and Store persons.
This role will act as a point of contact for our team and suppliers by providing administrative support and managing inquiries.
If you have previous experience as an Office Administrator or similar administrative role, we'd like to meet you.
Our ideal candidate also has working knowledge of office equipment and office management tools.
In this role your responsibilities will include: Raise Purchase Orders for parts and materialsCoordinate stock orders in accordance with the production plan and customer requirements, expediting and de-expediting, as necessaryTrack lead times on products and advise of any delaysBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability, quality and cost-efficiencyMonitor inventory levels and assist to manage stock to prevent shortages or excessAssist to manage exchange of faulty or damaged goodsEnsure procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulationsMaintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and related documentationEnsure customer inquiries are managed by providing prompt communicationRecords maintenance and data entryProvide support to Procurement team as reasonably required and directedExperience in same or similar role within same or similar industryExceptional communication skills, both verbal and writtenProficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applicationsHigh level of organisational and time management skillsSelf-motivated, problem-solving capabilities with the ability to multitaskExperience with purchasing softwareAt least 2 years' experience in an administrative roleExcellent analytical skills and attention to detailAbility to work unsupervised and autonomouslyThis is a permanent full-time role, based at our facility in Tomago, NSW. A start date in January 2025 is available for this role. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Administration professional.
