Ongoing Part-Time – 64 hours per fortnight Available now An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified administration officer to join the Perioperative Services team at Portland District Health.
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager or the Perioperative Services, in this role you will focus on elective surgery waiting lists patient registration and theatre bookings.
You will liaise closely with the Nurse Unit Manager, and theatre Staff to ensure that theatre bookings maximise utilisation of resources in available theatre sessions and align with Elective Surgery Access Policy (ESAP).
You will ensure maintenance of patient data integrity and assist in frontline reception duties.
About you: A Medical Terminology qualification (or working towards same) is desirable Certificate III in Business Studies is desirable Demonstrated experience in a challenging consumer focused environment Previous employment in an administrative/clerical role preferably within a health service Computer literacy and the ability to learn specialist applications used within the Perioperative Suite Excellent verbal and written communication skills Telephony experience in consumer centred environment Experience in Elective Surgery Waiting List management is desirable Previous experience using Portland District Health's applications, specifically TRAK is desirable Please click here to view Position Description.
