Join Our Team as a Patient Scheduling Coordinator in Radiation Oncology!In this dynamic role, you'll be at the heart of patient care, managing and coordinating the scheduling of radiation therapy procedures using ARIA for Radiation Oncology.
You'll work closely with patients and their healthcare teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across departments.
Your responsibilities will include scheduling radiation therapy simulations and treatment appointments, managing these appointments around other patient activities, and being a key point of contact, communicating with patients and their families.
This role is essential in helping us meet important deadlines and waiting time targets, all while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and patient care.

Key responsibilities:Primary oversight for radiation therapy scheduling and bookingsRespond to emails, phone calls, and IM messages.
Make appointment reminder phone calls.Provide information to patients regarding preparation for radiation therapy simulation and other upcoming appointments.Schedule and document accurately in multiple EMR, billing, and computer systems.Assist with transportation communication and coordination with outside entities.Retrieve and scan patient records and forms into appropriate EMR systems.Professional communication: answers the phone call, coordinates communication, provides information in accordance with established policies.Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with internal and external customers.Provide and maintain patient confidentiality and follow all organisational policies and procedures.Other duties as requested by the RT manager, Admin Manager, or Oncologists.About You:We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team while also managing your own workload.
This role requires a considerable amount of computer work using specialist Oncology systems.
A knowledge of these systems would be an advantage, although training will be provided.
Ability to provide positive services and interactions with both internal and external customers.Multi-tasker, detail-oriented, with the ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment.Prioritises work to ensure all details are addressed.Supports principles of continuous improvement with enthusiasm and energy.Strong computer, problem solving, and organizational skills.Ability to work within a team environment and independently as necessary.Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and telephone skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced medical clinic.Education and Experience:High school graduate or equivalentMinimum 1 year of medical admin experience; Oncology preferredAbout Icon:Icon Group is Australia's largest dedicated cancer care provider.
