About the role:
The O'Brien Referral Centre Administration Officer is the first point of contact for referrals to the Ambulatory and Community Services Streams. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and appropriate referral information is collected and entered into the patient database system. This position is also responsible for registering and maintaining client records for Community Mental Health, Homeless Health, and Alcohol and Drug Service, as well as responding to all incoming enquiries via the O'Brien Referral Centre.

Selection Criteria:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia.
2. Demonstrates excellent knowledge of medical terminology.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills and experience.
4. Highly competent in use of MS software and patient information management databases (e.g. CHIME, CorePas, Web DeLacy) with quick and accurate data entry skills.
5. Proven aptitude in problem solving, decision making, and conflict resolution.
6. Demonstrated experience working in a busy service environment, excellent time management skills flexibility in work practices and skilled in prioritising competing workloads.
7. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with little formal guidelines under limited direction.
8. Proven ability to support a team, with demonstrated experience in initiating and implementing changes to improve service delivery and outcomes.
