The hospital is a contemporary 488 bed facility comprising of 60% public and 40% private beds. Providing a wide range of health services to the local community, including Surgery, a 50 bed Emergency Department, Intensive Care, Birthing, Paediatrics, Cardiac, Mental Health, Dialysis, Cancer Centre and Outpatients. NBH has 13 operating theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheter theatre, two Catheter Laboratories and four endoscopy procedure rooms, all supported by a critical care unit which includes two intensive care wards. Northern Beaches Hospital is a dedicated facility for all patients in the local area. Our Patient Services Team have a vacancy for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to work alongside our team of Administration staff in supporting the hospital's Admissions and Reception.
As an Administration Officer in our Mental Health Day Program your responsibilities will include: Perform a broad range of administration duties including:Answer and redirect callsOrganise appointments and prepare admission paperworkConduct follow-up requests and make reminder calls for visitsMaintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical recordsManage patient list for mental health day programsManage the collection of excesses/co-paymentsCoordinate with medical staff and other departmentsComplete other clerical tasks such as data entrySelection Criteria: Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsHighly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detailExperience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)Works well independently and within a teamHealth fund knowledgeMedical/mental health administration experience (preferable but not required)WebPas Hospital system experience (desired)Benefits on offer: Discounted onsite parkingDiscounted gym memberships including Fitness PassportEmployee Assistance ProgramsSalary PackagingBulk Billing services for employees and immediate family members.Our commitment to quality and safety for our patients, staff and visitors is our highest priority.
