About the role: A vacancy exists within IBAC for a highly motivated Administration Officer with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high-quality patient centred care.
Within the framework of the Mission, Vision, Values and philosophy, as well as the Policies of St Vincent's Hospital, the IBAC Administration Officer will be responsible for providing administrative services and support for the daily and ongoing operational demands of the Immunology and Infectious Diseases Ambulatory Care Department.
This includes but is not limited to collecting accurate health care information, managing referrals, maintaining accurate documentation, handling general enquiries over the phone and face to face, liaising between departments and staff, providing exceptional customer service to patients' staff and stakeholders, maintaining outpatient clinics, and other administrative tasks. As an employee of the St Vincent's Health Network, the successful candidate will ensure the relevant hospital/health network policy and procedures are always applied.

1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia.
2. Demonstrated experience in administrative support in a health, hospital or medical environment.
3. Effective organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines with high-level organisational skills.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship building capabilities, including high-level oral and written communication skills with the ability to be compassionate and display a sensitive approach when dealing with challenging behaviors.
5. Experience using computerised patient registration or clinical information systems.
6. Demonstrated experience working autonomously and within a team environment.
7. Competent in use of Microsoft Office computer programs, such as Word & Excel.
