About the Building Commission NSW

The new Building Commission NSW has been established after the NSW Government recognised the substantial progress made by Fair Trading and the Office of the Building Commissioner in delivering once-in-a-generation reforms of the building and construction industry. The new commission will not only be the industry regulator, but also a collaborator with consumers and industry to ensure standards, capabilities, capacity and resilience continue to be lifted across the sector to deliver quality homes and meet the state's housing targets.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the next phase of the Building Commission within NSW. In this role, you will be working within the education team which manages the Digital Learning Platform for the whole of DCS in partnership with TAFE NSW to deliver new, high-quality online micro-skill modules to the industry. This role will provide a broad range of administrative services to support the team's program of work and facilitate the achievement of the team's business operations and objectives.

Responsibilities include:

Provide a range of administrative and support services to meet the business needs of the team.
Coordinate and manage records and databases, complying with administrative systems, processes and policies, to ensure that all information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible.
Develop, implement, monitor and review effective administrative systems and processes and make recommendations to improve efficiency and better support the team in delivering services.
Gather and collate information for, and prepare documentation and reports on business unit performance, expense and revenue management and project tracking.
Respond to stakeholder questions, concerns, and feedback in a timely and effective manner, providing updates on resolutions.
Capture and distribute key discussion points, decisions, and action items during meetings.
To be successful in this role you will have:

Demonstrated experience in setting up processes and procedures.
A solid understanding of financial reporting and tracking.
Ability to communicate via a range of mediums to diverse audience and stakeholder groups.
High attention to detail with creative problem-solving skills and the ability to develop both collaborative and independent solutions.
A strong sense of self-motivation and an efficient work style, with the ability to be flexible and deliver high-quality work under pressure.

What we need from you

Salary Clerk Grade 5/6, with the base salary for this role starting at $93,295 base plus superannuation.
